projects of 4

I found my inner flower child and decided to paint Beatles lyrics above our bed.  I knew when I found that huge frame at the thrift shop it would be used for great things! The $3 price tag screamed possibilities. It just needed some fresh paint.   Things like this are random afternoon Ideas that I often find myself in.  No Plan, I just close my eyes, jump in and cross my fingers that it does not blow up in my face.  In my head it looks great! Then half way through I look around at the mess I have created and wonder what I was thinking...  This is the point that I realize that it could go really good, or really REALLY bad.  The conclusion to the question comes from Dev, if he likes it I then I know its all right.

I have also been trying out a little painting. I have had 2 sets of paints for a few years now, an oil set and an acrylic set.  They have sat in their boxes in which ever appartment I was living in at the time. Acrylic paints are foreign to me, but we are slowly getting aquainted. The paint brush trys to introduce us and wispers to me that we will be BFFs, but I am still a little shy around those tubes of paint.  And the oil paints?  Well they are still on the shelf.  You know when you go to the Amusement Park and there is that one Huge Scary Rollercoaster?  And no matter where you are in the park you can see it.  It haunts over you all day until you rack up the nerve to just strap yourself in.  Thats how I feel about the oil paints... they are mocking me from that shelf, and I get nervous when I look up at them.  But one day......

I think this week I am going to take on color week from this amazing blog, that I could read over and over and over again.  I like projects, and I like pictures. And I occasionally find myself trying to make the two hold hands and be nice.

monday: yellow
tuesday: green
wednesday: orange
thursday: brown
friday: red

Feel free to join me, and please let me know if you do. I would love to see what your color week looks like.
